Saxony meets Taiwan 3.0 – Tradinovation
Here Saxony meets Taiwan, tradition meets innovation – an international, intermedial stage show.
With "Saxony meets Taiwan 3.0 – Tradinovation," MuNo-Productions, together with professional and emerging dancers, is realizing a major intermedial project that combines classical ballet, contemporary dance, urban styles, and elements of Kung Fu and Tai Chi. The stage work is complemented by Asian ink painting and calligraphy by Taiwanese artist Mu-Yu Chen, large-scale live projections, and augmented reality and VR elements.

MuNo-Productions, based in Radebeul near Dresden, has stood for interdisciplinary stage work between Saxony and Taiwan since its founding in 2015. Under the artistic direction of Taiwanese choreographer Mu-Yi Chen and the project management of Norbert Kegel, productions are created that bring dance, visual art and digital media into a lively dialogue.
Both artists were engaged as solo dancers at various theaters for many years, including the Landesbühnen Sachsen (State Theaters of Saxony), and each possesses more than 25 years of international stage experience.
Their solid classical ballet training is combined with broad stylistic expertise: Mu-Yi Chen is also trained in traditional Chinese dance and stage kung fu, while Norbert Kegel is also qualified in Latin American dances, street dance, hip-hop, and breakdancing. From this dual artistic perspective, MuNo-Productions has developed a consciously genre-crossing, contemporary movement language from the very beginning.
